Trailhead is our annual large shoot that spans four days and features tons of action that should appeal to all shooters Get ready for Trailhead 2024, home of the Texas State Rifle Association (TSRA) Texas State Championship!
ALL SASS RULES APPLY. The match will be held March 21-24, 2024. Registration and Category change deadline is March 8. Email Pepper Russell at pepper4166@gmail.com with any questions or to change your category.
Award Eligibility
You must be a current TSRA member in good standing and a Texas resident in order to be eligible for Overall and Category Champion awards. Non-TSRA members and non-Texas residents may compete for an additional fee but cannot win First Place in their category or be the Overall Winner.
Texas residents are highly encouraged to become TSRA members at www.tsra.com if necessary then send in their application. The organization has been fighting for gun rights in Texas since 1919, and regularly is in Austin at the State Capital to promote and protect our Second Amendment rights.

Second Category Option
New for Trailhead 2024, we are offering a Second Category Option. For an additional fee, you can shoot both strings of matches and compete in two separate categories. (i.e., shoot Group A as Forty-Niner category and Group B as Cody-Dixon Lever). Double the shooting, double the fun! Note that if you receive a Match DQ in either match, you are disqualified from both matches.
