Trailhead 2026

Trailhead is our annual large shoot that spans four days and features tons of action that should appeal to all shooters! Get ready for Trailhead 2026 and get your application in today!

ALL SASS RULES APPLY. The match will be held March 26-29, 2026. Registration and Category change deadline is March 4. Email Houston at jhromadka@gmail.com with any questions or to change your category. 

Shooters receive a bullet bag customized with their Alias for applications received before March 4.

Second Category Option

Trailhead also has a Second Category Option. For an additional fee, you can shoot both strings of matches and compete in two separate categories. For example, you shoot Group A as Forty-Niner category and Group B as Cody-Dixon Lever. Double the shooting, double the fun! Note that if you receive a Match DQ in either match, you are disqualified from both matches.

  • 8:30 am — Opening Ceremony & Mandatory Shooter’s Meeting
  • 9:00 am — Group “A” 5 Main Match Stages
  • 12:00 pm — Group “B” Mandatory Meeting
  • 12:30 pm — Group “B” Shoot 5 Main Match Stages
  • 6:00 pm – Friday Night Social& Side Match Awards (on-site at Gunsmoke)
      • Bring a folding/outdoor chair, if possible

Saturday, March 28

  • 8:30 am — Mandatory Shooter’s Meeting
  • 9:00 am — Group “A” Shoot 5 Main Match Stages
  • 12:00 pm — Group “B” Mandatory Meeting
  • 12:30 pm — Group “B” Shoot 5 Main Match Stages
  • 5:30 pm — Doors open at Columbus Hall (formerly the KC Hall)
  • 6:30 pm — Trailhead Awards Banquet at Columbus Hall
      • Note: BYOB is not allowed at the banquet hall

Sunday, March 29

  • 9:00 am — Mandatory Shooter’s Meeting
  • 9:30 am — Side Matches
