THSS will have work parties every Saturday from February 6 to March 5 in order to get Gunsmoke, Texas ready for Trailhead. Work involved is everything from general carpentry to preparing shooter packets and brochures.
Work parties start at 9 am each day and generally run until early afternoon. Lunch for workers is provided.

Trailhead competitors that wish to get their information packet early can do so on the first day of shooting.
Day 1 of Trailhead is all about side matches. Who is the fastest gun?
Day 2 of Trailhead features the start of the main match followed by the Long Range Big Bore side match.
Trailhead continues with Day 3 which features the completion of the main match.
The Trailhead 2016 closing ceremony and banquet will be at the Ellinger Community Center in nearby Ellinger (104 W Colorado Sky Street).
The final day of Trailhead 2016 features three different side matches: Master Gunfighter, Couples shoot, and Team shoot.
