Who is the fastest gun? Find out Day 1 at Trailhead when most side matches are held. Shooters compete using their main match firearms and can also try their hand at competing with lesser-used firearms such as pocket pistols and derringers.
Day 2 of Trailhead features half of the main match stages followed by more side matches, and it is capped off with a Friday Night Social
New for Trailhead 2017 will be a Friday Night Social located on the grounds at Gunsmoke, Texas. The event will start at 6:00 pm. Attendees will enjoy a chuckwagon-style supper, Side Match Awards from the day, and also the opportunity to partake in various door prize drawings.

The Trailhead closing ceremony and banquet will be at the Ellinger Community Center in nearby Ellinger (104 W Colorado Sky Street).
The final day of Trailhead features three different side matches: mano y mano, couples shoot, and team shoot
