Based on current state guidelines, THSS will be able to host Trailhead 2020 June 20 and 21. The event will need to follow a condensed schedule, so significant changes are necessary. 

Highlights:

  • No Side Matches
  • Practice Day on Friday
  • Six Stages on Saturday
  • Four Stages and brief awards ceremony on Sunday
  • No food provided
  • Price: $60

Calendar of Events

Friday, June 19 (OPTIONAL)

2:00-6:00 pm – On-site registration and packet pickup

2:00-6:00 pm – Practice Shooting

  • Available on certain stages
  • Stage scenarios will not be provided

Saturday, June 20

7:00 am – Registration & Posse Selection

  • Posses will be chosen on-site Saturday using sign-up sheets similar to monthly matches, so get there early Saturday to select the posse you want to be with
  • Maximum of 15 people on a posse.

8:30 am – Shooter’s Meeting

9:00 am – SIX stages of Main Matches

Sunday, June 21

8:30 am – Shooters’ Meeting

9:00 am – FOUR stages of Main Matches

  • Awards ceremony immediately follows conclusion of match
  • Buckle awards and Top Hand spurs will be handed out
  • There will be three guns giveaways at the awards. Must be present to win
  • Only costume awards for Working Cowboy and Working Cowgirl

COVID-19 / Coronavirus

Please be mindful of COVID-19 and take steps as you feel necessary to reduce the chance of spreading the disease such as social distancing and personal hygiene. THSS will be following state guidelines. There is no mask requirement, but remember that Cowboy bandanas cover the face and look cool also!  

There will be hand sanitizer at key public areas, and small hand sanitizer bottles will be included in shooter packets while supplies last.

Pricing

Trailhead 2020 will have a match fee of $60. Competitors that had previously registered need to contact Pepper Russell (pepper4166@gmail.com) to request a refund if not attending or so that partial refunds can be made. Refund checks if applicable will be handed out at the end of Saturday. On-site payment and registration will be available.

Food

Because of limited catering availability, there will be no food available during Trailhead. We will have water bottles available during the match. So bring whatever food you need with you.
