"Will Cane" aka William Eysenbach was our first cowboy who's  ashes are buried at Gunsmoke Cemetery.


Will made many of the targets and helped at most of the work parties. He was a big part of the Gunsmoke family. where he was well known and loved.

In accordance to the family's wishes the wagon was auctioned at Trailhead.

004ashesburied.jpg (38313 bytes) Respecting the wishes of Will Cane and his family, Will's ashes were   buried at Gunsmoke Cemetery by Longhair Jim  The cross was made by Longhair Jim.

The cannon has a place of honor at Gunsmoke and  has been use for various ceremonies.
