"Clay Allison" aka Martin Dies Hale,
Jr.
Born December 23, 1938 Houston, TX
Died July 5, 2006

Longtime member at
Texas Historical Shootist Society.
He served on the board and held offices for many years starting
about 1991 till 2000.
Memorial service was held at Gunsmoke, TX with Texas
Historical Shootist Society members preceding and attending the service. The service was
in the pavilion facing out across the green pasture range with the horses and the
beautiful trees. As soon as the service began the horses, along with a
young colt, came over to drink from the water trough, which was right at the
fence and the shooting started over at the big bore range. It could have
not been more perfect. Marty would have been proud.
